Overview
In the position of Electrical Foreperson, the employee will expected to demonstrate a high level of interest in the quality of the installations they are involved with, strict punctuality in regards to scheduled shifts and break times for themselves and their team, as well as the ability to work safely and understand/ carry out the instructions of their immediate supervisor. A reasonable expectation would be the ability to demonstrate maturity and skill, in dealing with co-workers, customer relations and daily tasks of controlling more than one scope of work, as well as supervision of approx 10-15 workers.
A probation period is in effect for the first three months of employment. In addition to the above, the overall attitude towards assigned duties, team members and the trade in general, will play a significant factor in the continued success within our organization. Roles & Responsibilities
- Reviewing and understanding company safe work practices and policies.
- Refusal of any unsafe work.
- The safe execution of duties as instructed by your supervisor.
- General housekeeping.
- Care and control of finished product/ installations directly under your care.
- Interpretation and execution of the Canadian Electrical Code.
- Layout of rough in and finish of installations from blue prints and works scopes provided.
- Organize materials and layout/ execution of daily tasks for yourself and co-workers, as instructed by your supervisor.
- Demonstrate an expertise in the areas of Motor control, HVAC control, electrical circuit/ system troubleshooting.
- Recognize changes in work scopes and compile direct material lists for the changes.
- Create new work scopes, budgeting time and materials to complete.
- Be aware of the time and materials allotted for the work scopes, meeting or exceeding the budgets.
- Compilation, approval and submittal of time sheets, Quality Control documentation & score cards for workers and work under you direct care.
- Responsibility for the execution of multiple Scopes of Work and teams.
