Overview
Applicants for Electrical Apprentice position will be expected to demonstrate their abilities in their punctuality of scheduled shift and break times as well as the ability to work safely and understand/ carry out the instructions of their immediate supervisor.
A probation period is in effect for the first three months of employment, at the end of which it will be determined if both parties wish to enter into an apprenticeship contract. In addition to the above, the overall attitude towards assigned duties, team members and the trade in general, will play a significant factor in successful application of the position. Roles & Responsibilities
- Reviewing and understanding company safe work practices and policies.
- Refusal of any unsafe work.
- The safe execution of duties as instructed by your supervisor.
- General housekeeping.
- Material gathering and supply to apprentices and journeyman.
- Assist in basic materials install. Such as strapping of conduit, hanging of light fixtures, installing boxes to studs, drilling holes, etc.
- Demonstrate a basic level of mechanical aptitude.
- Independent pursuit of attaining the Trade Entrance Certification.
